Isnt baseball just a cheap ripoff of cricket?

Friday, January 29th, 2010
Scott asked:

Why does america claim they invented the sport when it was clearing invented in england? Its a cheap copy ripoff of cricket. Cricket is much better because you can controll your shots unlike baseball where you just swing like a retard and don’t know where you have hit the ball. In cricket, you run when you think its safe to run and you are safe instead of getting out, but in baseball you have to run when you have hit the ball even if you have hit the ball straight to the fielder. you can bat untill you are out but in baseball, you have to go even if you hit the ball. (cannot continue to bat even if ur playing good). Baseball originated from Cricket, baseball is not a game made by any new idea, the whole concept of baseball is cricket but its little turned around and made different by adding weird equipments and rules). Why are baseball players such wussies wearing gloves while cricket fielders dont and have to catch with their hands?

I have a quick tax question for IC’s. I started a second job as a little league baseball umpire?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010
Eric asked:

I have a quick tax question for IC’s. I started a second job as a little league baseball umpire. Well they treat us as IC’s and issue us 1099’s. I only made about $3000 doing this gig and kept track of all my expenses (Uniforms, equipment, travel, ect).

Any tips for filing? I know I am going to have to fill out a schedule C to report other income and pay S/E tax, but any tips would be appreciated.

Clayton
